Hybrid Rice Seed Production


A technology that aims to improve rice productivity in the Philippines, and eventually increase the yield of Filipino farmers. This yields high grain hybrid rice varieties, resistance to pests and diseases, lodging, and other environmental stresses.

Dr. Nogoy holds a Ph. D. in Agriculture-Crop Science (Crop Biotechnology) at Chungbuk National University, Cheongju, South Korea. She served as a Research Assistant at the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) from 2010 to 2012, and became part of CLSU last 2018 to present.

Starting 2014, she was able to publish various researches in journals such as Journal of Plant Biotechnology, Philippine Journal of Crop Science, Korean Journal of Breeding Science, and PLOS ONE among others.
