Consequent with the project’s first MOA signing, CLSU and LGU of Pantabangan represented by its Municipal Mayor, Hon. Roberto T. Agdipa, forged the second MOA that intends to capacitate the target beneficiaries of the project on the technologies developed by CLSU through on-site experiential learnings.
Assistant Professor Maria Adrielle S. Estigoy, eFARM GROW Project Leader, assured Mayor Agdipa that once the MOA was signed, the project team will actively coordinate with Ms. Karen R. Salera, Pantabangan Municipal Agriculturist, to make way with the scheduling of capacity-buildings and on-site trainings on the identified beneficiaries.
Assist. Prof. Estigoy also emphasized that since the project intents to target tourist learners, actual activities such as mushroom harvesting, fish feeding and catching, among others could be developed for them to experience
The technologies to be cascaded in Pantabangan are Aquashade and Mushroom Production among the eight technologies covered by the eFARM GROW project. Mayor Agdipa also asked about what other technologies the project might be able to provide the LGU in order to help empower the community in the entrepreneurial sector, specifically if there is a technology that could help them maximize their full-grown mango trees.
Further, the Municipal Agriculturist expressed her desires to involve people from 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) as a way to help improve their livelihood. It was also discussed as to how the program’s eFARM KITCHEN component could personally teach the beneficiaries to turn their produce into packaged products.
