Last March 18, 2022, the project team hosted Mr. Cris Zuñiga and his team as he covers eFARM Academy. His visit started at the Executive House where he interviewed Dr. Edgar A. Orden, University President, before being escorted to the Institute of Climate Change and Environmental Management (ICCEM) for the overview of the project explained by Dr. Gella Patria L. Abella, Program Leader.
Afterwards, eFARM GROW led by Assist. Prof. Maria Adrielle S. Estigoy assisted him on the tour featuring some of the project’s agri-fishery technologies: Goat Production of Small Ruminant Center (SRC), Aquashade Technology of Freshwater Aquaculture Center (FAC), and Indoor Vertical Farming System. He also stopped-by the CLSU Sunflower Germplasm of the Research and Extension. Lastly, he participated in the conduct of the fourth (4th) video shoot of eFARM KITCHEN led by Dr. Celyrah B. Castillo showcasing the culinary applications of mushroom production.
The video will soon present the preparations of powdered and dried mushrooms by Dr. Judith Antonino, mushroom carrot cake by Chef Christian Manuel, and mushroom nuggets by Chef Jomerick Domingo and Mr. Zuñiga.
“Sobrang impressed ako sa technology(ies) ng Central Luzon State University when it comes to agriculture. At ito ay tinatranslate hindi lang pala sa pagtatanim kundi parang farm-to-table (na rin)”, he said when asked about his impression on the university.
