eFARM Academy, LGU of Science City of Muñoz ink MOA

Before the turn-over of office to the newly-elected Mayor of Science City of Muñoz, incumbent City Mayor Hon. Nestor L. Alvarez took time to accommodate the eFARM Academy Project Team headed by eFARM GROW Project Leader Assistant Professor Yhen Estigoy in forging a Memorandum of Agreement on June 20, 2022. Also present during the signing were Mayor-elect Armi L. Alvarez, City Agriculturist Dr. Jerry A. Rigos, and Mr. Devin Carl P. Sagun.

Incumbent City Mayor Alvarez encouraged the team not to hesitate in asking for the LGU’s help to make sure of the project’s sustainability. Additionally, Mayor-elect Alvarez expressed her active involvement and participation with the project team in terms of supporting its planned activities in capacitating the selected beneficiaries.

The technologies to be cascaded in Science City of Muñoz are Zero Waste Pig Production by Dr. Antonio J. Barroga and Hybrid Rice Seed Production by Dr. Franz Marielle C. Nogoy-Garcia, among the eight technologies covered by the eFARM GROW project. On-site capacity building with experiential learning in Cabisuculan is scheduled for July 4, 2022.
