eFARM KITCHEN (Knowledge. Integration. Culinary. Enhancement) under the program eFARM Academy transforms the products of the agrifishery technologies into mouth-watering recipes.
Last December 14, 2021, the project team conducted the video shoot of the pilot episode wherein products from the Zero Waste Pig technology were made into recipes such as cured ham, ham sandwich, crispy pork belly and balingit, crispy kare-kare, sisig tacos, and dinuguan (see photos below). The activity was held at the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management (DHTM) Kitchen Demo Room, College of Home Science and Industry (CHSI), CLSU.
Together with the project team were Ms. Venus Lagmay who served as the Food Technologist, while Ms. Celeste Dela Cruz and Mr. Christian Manuel served as Chefs. The full pilot episode will soon be available for all on our Youtube Channel (eFarm Academy)
Dr. Celyrah B. Castillo, the Project Leader, spearheaded the activity. She was joined by the Project Staff, Dr. Dana G. Vera Cruz, Ms. Kristelle S. Lamson, and Ms. Celeste D. Dele Cruz. Ms. Alleyah Abigail M. Reyes and Ms. Christine Dawn Tapic, research assistants, were also present. Further, it was also attended by the Program Leader, Dr. Gella Patria L. Abella, and other staff under Project 3, Dr. Parsons N. Hail, Dr. Mercedita M. Reyes, and Ms. Ma. Johanna J. De Dios.
