Simangan] also added that eFARM Academy perfectly fits this objective, with the learning materials being uploaded on various social media platforms and being easily accessible by all of the MSMEs. With the partnership inked with the Department of Trade and Industry - Nueva Ecija (DTI-NE), the project team assisted in the conduct of the Training on Food and Nutrition Innovation and Digital Transformation on August 25, 2022 at PAG-ASA Gym, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. This event hosted various mushroom growers and processors, as well as other food entrepreneurs who are interested in innovating their products. Among them were representatives from Tintop Mushroom Farm, USB Agri Farm, Beanyfits, Sweet Creations, Baking Mom, Evelyn Barro Mushroom Products, San Juan Mushroom Growers Association, AJEE Food Products, and REDJ Mushroom Farm.
eFARM KITCHEN, headed by Dr. Celyrah Castillo, together with Ms. Celeste Dela Cruz and Mr. Jomerick Domingo, led the activity featuring culinary applications such as sweetened mushrooms and carrot mushroom cupcakes, and food processing techniques such as dried and powdered mushrooms. Furthermore, the participants were able to taste-test the produced outputs as well as take home the recipes of the culinary applications presented.
On August 30, 2022, the project team is headed to San Antonio, Nueva Ecija for yet another skills training on mushroom production and food processing, still in collaboration with DTI-NE.
